Lake Region Kiwanis Club

Yesterday, our club celebrated our end-of-year accomplishments at the Woman’s Club of Keystone Heights club. Thanks to Florida Gal for taking pictures and sharing them with the club. Our outgoing (most immediate past president) is Fred Goetzman. Thank you Fred for your leadership this year and for building the club activities through serving food to our community. The KHHS Band concessions stand (visitor side) made more money from sales than ever before. You fed people from all walks of life with a smile. You led us with humor and humility. Congratulations for to you. We love us some Fred.Tina Santillo was named Kiwanian of the Year because she supports her community in Melrose with such dedication. She spearheaded our free swim lessons at Lake Swan Camp with local support. She is a Distinguished Secretary for our club because she reports our activities every month to Kiwanis International.We are a Distinguished Club for KI.We are excited to support the new leadership team in Lake Region Kiwanis Club. Keith Hatch is our President. The Board will support and execute his plan for our membership.

Great turnout for our free hair cuts event in Melrose today. Two stylists (thanks Joe and Jessica) cut and styled 28 students at Melrose United Methodist Church. Thanks to Kiwanians Jade, Angel and others who championed the project. Have a great school year, Melrose!
